Nathaniel Kallmyer, PhD
Co-Founder, VP of Technology
Dr. Nathaniel Kallmyer serves as the principal scientist and Vice President of Technology at Zymosense. He is the co-inventor of the platform enzyme-assaying technology. Dr. Kallmyer received his PhD in chemical engineering from Iowa State University in 2021, and a bachelor's in chemical engineering and chemistry from Purdue University in 2016. During his time at ISU, he received accolades including the 2018 NIFA Workforce and Education Fellowship, the 2020 Brown Research Fellowship, and the 2021 Research Excellence Award. He has 8+ years of experience working with carbon nanotube-based sensors. His work spans from the development of fluorescent readers to the purification of nanotube feedstocks and the invention of new fluorescent probes.
